It’s me. Hi.

I'm Tayler.
I already know so many of you, and I cannot wait to see your faces in the shop! For those of you I haven’t met yet, I look forward to getting to know you, whether it is through this online outlet, social media or in person.

After graduating from Linfield College (now University) in 2007, I jumped into the wine industry with both feet. I’ve spent the last 16 years supporting local businesses working in hospitality, marketing and sales (including an amazing five years behind the counter at Mes Amies!) Most recently, I’ve been active in the non-profit world in Yamhill County.

To say I’m delighted to be back on 3rd street and taking the reins of this truly special shop is an understatement. When I moved to McMinnville in 2003, I knew instantly that I was home. Twenty years later it feels a little surreal, but no less exciting, to be celebrating another homecoming of sorts at Mes Amies.

You might be wondering “What is going to change at the shop?" and the answer is not very much. Shanna and Naomi have spent the last twenty years cultivating relationships with amazing brands and artisans. They've created a warm, inviting space with an emphasis on stellar customer service, and I very much plan on continuing along the same path. I’m so fortunate that the sisters are not only my personal friends, but have been, and continue to be, my mentors. I am eagerly looking forward to continuing their legacy in this space.

A few fun additions to be looking forward to in 2023:

  • Personal Shopping Opportunities:  I realize not everyone can make it in between 11-5, and sometimes you just need an experience tailored to you. (pun 100% intended)   I’m hoping to launch this in February, be on the lookout for more details!

  • Mes Amies Blog: musings about favorite brands, local happenings, and some of the magic that makes McMinnville, McMinnville.I’m still developing what this will look like, but am thankful to have a creative outlet.

  • Boss Ladies: Have you noticed how many women owned businesses are in our community? It’s one of my most favorite things, and honestly one of the reasons I feel so comfortable stepping into the realm of small business ownership is because of the fearless, scrappy, resourceful, graceful, warm, funny, wonderful women owned business in McMinnville, Yamhill County, and beyond. I see you, I celebrate you, and I’m honored to be joining you. Obviously, I’m going to have my hands full for a while with solo-preneurship, but I’m looking forward to featuring creative profiles of some of my friends, mentors, role models, and fellow boss ladies. Stay tuned! (also feel free to nominate some of your favorite women owned businesses you'd like to see featured!)
